Hannibal sat on the side of her bed after he and Angelo had tucked her in. He kissed her forehead. “What song would you like to hear, Baby girl?” He didn’t know many songs that were appropriate for a one and a half year old, and the ones that he did would probably make her sad.
The small girl thought about the question and shrugged, “I don’t know..” She said and Angelo smiled, “Baby Alice, you liked that song on the radio today, right?” He asked, “Little things?” Then the girl perked and nodded, “Sing that!” She said and snugged herself back into bed the correct way so he would sing to her.
Hannibal looked down at Alice running his hand through his hair. “Yes, Daddy Hann sings.” He said smiling at the toddler. “You want me to sing to you?” Hannibal stood up carrying Alice back to her room pulling Angelo along behind them.
Alice giggled out-loud and shook her head, “Nooo I meant to baby Aliiiice!” She said in a silly tone and Angelo couldn’t hold back a soft laugh as he watched the two. Following them to her room the girl made silly faces to him from over Hannibal’s shoulder, Angelo returning the silly looks; causing both of them to laugh out a little.
Then as Alice laid in bed, she began to feel a drowsiness kicking in, due to the amount of energy that was wasted in the tickling and previous bouncing. Angelo gave the girl a soft kiss on the forehead and smiled brightly to her. “Nighty night baby Alice.” He said and stood back in the doorway, waiting for Hannibal as he sang to her.
Hannibal had put Alice to bed for the fifth time. He and Angelo had taken her trick-or-treating earlier, and he was beginning to regret their outing. She had been bouncing off the walls for hours now. Hannibal didn’t understand she didn’t even have that much candy and she was all over the place. He sat on the couch in the living room with Alice in his lap.
Angelo was tempted to tell Hannibal that Alice would never be able to get down after eating candy- even the minimal amount he’d allowed her to eat. “Baby Awice can’t sweeeep!” She sang out running into their room, when they migrated to the living room and Alice looked up to Hannibal as Angelo made his way to sit with them, but before he could reach the couch the girl went flying out of the other’s lap and into Angelo’s legs.
“Whooa, there baby Alice,” He said with a smile and lifted her to the air, crimping his fingers slightly as she was held tightly in his grasp, causing her to giggle. “Ahh!!” She shreaked and Angelo laughed, lowering her to the couch and tickling her still, for only a moment. When he pulled back the girl was panting and giggling still, then moved into Hannibal’s lap again. “Daddy Hann sings?”
Awe, you’re so cute when you’re pissed.
should we start calling Hannibal Hannah?
Noo.. Mommy’s good.
Making me the daddy..
There’s no way Alice will call me ‘mommy’.
No. Fucking. Way.
Of course not, but it doesn’t stop you from being the mommy..
Absolutely fantastic… When I was a human I wanted a family, and the hope was crushed after turning.
Hannibal gave me the hope for a family again, and we decided to adopt Alice… After 400 some odd years, but… I couldn’t be happier.
